What is a jocinema?
A jocinema is a nightclub event organized around a corkage event, which means it is primarily a one-night event. In a jocinema, you would come to a nightclub and order a corkage drink and then head over to the jacuzzi and pool to have your fill of Luxury.
In essence, a jocinema is a get-away, with all the makings of a relaxing and fun evening out on the town. Although you won’t find many of these in Toronto, there are a few in Vancouver, so consider yourself lucky if you’re lucky enough to find one in your immediate area jmdhindi.
What can be included in your ticket?
Access to the jocrima at the hotel – If you’re heading to or from the hotel, you need to bring a valid room key with you. We do this for all our guests. People in heat – Participants in the jocrima are not supposed to be able to get inside the women’s bathroom, but we always find a way to accommodate the curious. Light bearers on the premises – You don’t need to bring a large bag to the jocrima, but we do have one in the parking lot with our lights on to wave to the party. Kings of Leon or Justin Timberlake – The ones playing in the jocrima are usually a local band. If you have a big-ticket item that you need to bring, such as a recording or merchandise item, you should bring that with you so that we can track it down.
Dancers and DJs on offer
There are a few options for DJ’s and/or Dancers at jocrima. Call ahead to make sure we have the music you want. We can also accommodate requests for drinks or food at the bar. We do this for all our guests.
For the more established DJ’s, we have a weekly night called the “Real Room” at the hotel. If you’re looking for a more unique experience, check out the “Drumming Room” in the hotel. We do this for all our guests.
For the more up-and-coming DJs, we have a monthly night called at the Bodega on Lake. We also have a weekly “Drumming Room” at the hotel. We also have a weekly “Nightclub Night” at the hotel.
